Rooney is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and holds a law degree from DePaul University in Chicago. A recipient of an Illinois Bar Review Tuition Scholarship, Tricia was a law clerk for Cecilia Hynes Griffin, started practicing law in 2003 and joined Griffin & McCarthy, LLP as an associate attorney in 2004. She focuses on matrimonial law to assist people through challenging personal and family issues, which at Griffin McCarthy & Rice LLP, means giving clients the information they need to decide whether to pursue legal action and, if necessary, guiding them through the legal system compassionately, knowledgeably and efficiently. Tricia co-authored, with Cecilia Hynes Griffin, a published article about family law.
