Meet Our Team
Jessica Cokins, Associate
Jessica received her Juris Doctorate from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York. During law school, Jessica participated in the Innocence Project Clinic, where she worked on post-conviction matters for wrongly convicted individuals. Jessica worked as an intern at Legal Aid Society’s Juvenile Rights Practice Special Litigation and Law Reform Unit, where she worked on complex cases involving children impacted by the juvenile justice and foster care systems throughout New York. Jessica also held internships at the Center for Family Representation and the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office. Jessica holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University and a Master’s Degree from Columbia University. Prior to joining GMR Family Law LLP, Jessica practiced as a tenants’ rights attorney at a non-profit in New York City.
