Erin J. Bognar received her law degree from Saint Louis University in 1999 and her undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1993. Prior to practicing in family law, Erin worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Madison County, Illinois, and for the First District of the Illinois Appellate Court, where she clerked for the Honorable Michael J. Gallagher. Erin has practiced exclusively in family law since 2003, and she joined Griffin, McCarthy & Rice LLP in June of 2010 after operating as a solo practitioner in the field of domestic relations.
Erin has been selected by her peers as an Illinois Rising Star in the area of Family Law by Law and Politics for the years 2009 & 2010. She is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association, where she currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Domestic Relations Committee. Erin is a member of the planning committee for Women Everywhere, an organization that coordinates volunteer activities for women and children in need, and she serves on the Associates Board for Ravinia, whose mission it is to bring music into underprivileged schools and increase funding for music programs in schools.
