Allyson Jacobs, Associate
Allyson Jacobs received her undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied Spanish and Criminal Justice. Allyson went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. While in law school, Allyson interned at the Chicago-Kent Family Law Clinic and was the President of the Child and Family Law Society. Allyson also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children who have been victims of abuse and neglect. Allyson works diligently to advocate for the best possible outcome for her clients, prioritizing their overall wellbeing as she guides them through the divorce process. Allyson is particularly passionate about resolving child-related issues, always keeping in mind the best interests of her clients’ children.
Prior to joining GMR Family Law LLP, Allyson practiced at another Chicago family law firm where she represented individuals in all aspects of matrimonial law including pre- and post-nuptials, divorce, and parentage cases. Allyson also gained substantial and valuable experience in complex financial analysis. With a strong background in family law, Allyson knows the importance of tailoring each resolution to each individual client’s needs. Allyson joins GMR Family Law as a strong and passionate advocate for individuals involved in a difficult process.
